Why this is stored on your device and not ours
A server-side history would need an account, and an account would need an email address, a password and a record linking you to every handset you have ever looked up. For a free tool whose entire promise is that it asks nothing of you, that is a bad trade. So the list lives in your browser's local storage: your device, your data, gone the moment you clear it.
The practical cost is honest to state. The history does not follow you to a phone or a second laptop, it disappears if you clear site data or browse privately, and it holds the last twenty-five checks rather than all of them. If you need a permanent record — a shop keeping evidence of condition at the time of purchase, for instance — use the bulk checker's CSV export instead.
Re-running a check is not pointless
Status changes. A handset financed by its previous owner can be reported for an unpaid balance months after you bought it; a phone reported lost and then found can be cleared; a carrier unlock you requested can land. Re-running an IMEI a few weeks later is the cheapest way to find out, and it is why every entry here has a re-run link rather than just a stored verdict.
It also matters immediately before a sale completes. If a week has passed between agreeing a price and handing over cash, run it again — that is the window in which a report most often appears, and the one where re-checking has actually saved people money.

Where is my check history stored?
In your own browser, in local storage on this device. It is never uploaded, it is not tied to an account, and it is not visible to us — which also means it does not follow you to another device or survive clearing your browser data. It holds the last twenty-five checks.
Does my history include the full IMEI?
Your device keeps the full number so the re-run button works, and the page displays it masked so a shoulder-surfer or a screenshot does not expose it. Clearing the history removes both immediately.
How do I clear my check history?
The clear button on this page wipes the whole list from this browser instantly. There is no confirmation step on our side and nothing to delete anywhere else, because nothing was ever stored anywhere else.
Why is my history empty on another device?
Because it is stored per browser, by design. A history that followed you between devices would have to live on a server, tied to an account, which would mean collecting exactly the data this site tries not to collect. The trade is deliberate.
Can I re-run an old check?
Yes — the re-run link next to each entry loads the checker with that IMEI filled in and runs it again. This is worth doing before a sale completes, since blacklist reports can appear after a phone changes hands, particularly where the handset was being financed.
